Description:
My client are a government organisation based in Cardiff. They're seeking a Statistical Officer on a contractual basis, initially through until the end of March. You will be responsible for collating data, preparing statistical analysis and providing statistical advice for this government body.
This is a full time role (37.5 hours per week)and is paying between £14.98 - £17.08 per hour dependent on experience.
The organisation have a very positive attitude to work life balance, where they offer flexi-time and a hybrid office / working from home arrangement.
Key tasks:
* Support our variousSQL databases, including preparing and developing analysis and disseminating to colleagues:
* Inspection data including outcomes, pre-inspection questionnaires and follow up activity.
* Data on education providers in Wales, mostly receivedfrom the Welsh Government
* Inspection scheduling systems.
* Collating and preparing data to inform inspections
* Maintain, prepare and disseminate bespoke analysis.
* Disseminate pre-prepared analysis received from external sources.
* Providing statistical advice to colleagues
* Prepare analysis for HMCI's Annual Report
* Produce guidance on data sources for non-statistical colleagues.
* Prepare analysis for HMI colleagues to support remit activity.
* Respond to ad-hoc data queries from non-statistical colleagues.
* Ensuring accuracy and quality of statistical analysis.
* To undertake other dutiesas may reasonably be required by managers.
