Description:
We are currently recruiting for a Technical Support Engineer (Product Specialist) to work for a leading manufacturer of parking payment machines.
the position will be providing day to day technical support internal and external customers covering hardware, software and network aspects.
What the role will involve:
* Providing technical support and assistanceto customers
* Troubleshooting hardware and software issues
* Providing support to the service desk
* Delivering trainingto customers on all products
* Providing training to internal staff
Experience Required:
* HND (or equivalent) in a related subject - electronics/electrical engineering or computer science
* Accredited Computer qualifications
* Demonstrable experience and expertise in a related field of technology
* Extensive experience of customer service environment delivering technical support
* Good knowledge of Network fundamentals including routing, switching and security technologies and experience of deploying networks
* Familiarity of using remote desktop applications and help desk software
* Knowledge in IP networkingin layers 2-4 (TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLANs, VLAN )
Working Hours:
* Standard hours are 8.30 to 17.00 Monday to Friday.
* There is a requirement to provide weekend cover (working towards one weekend in three)
Package:
* £28,000 basic salary + weekend overtime payments
* 24 days annual leave + bank holidays
