Client:

Concept IT are looking for Wintel Engineer to work for a busy company based in Telford. My client provides services to customers all over the world, includinghousehold names and due to a sustained period of growth are looking to expand their IT team.



Role:

With responsibility for support of the Wintel Infrastructure, resolving faults, incidents and problems and performing approved changes across thecustomer base. The objective of the role is to ensure that we continue to provide excellence in Wintel systems support and management to our customers. Collaboration with other members of the team and other teams is vital to ensure knowledge transfer andcontinuity of service.

Key Responsibilities

* Ensuring that customers incident, change & requests tickets are managed in a professional, consistent manner
* Working closely with other team members to ensure customer satisfaction
* Ensuringprocesses are being followed
* Ensuring documentation is current and up to date.
* Perform installation of operating systempatches and fixes
* Work with hardware and software vendors to resolve customer issues
* Identify solutions or workaroundsto customer incidents to ensure they are resolved within SLA
* Ensure technical documentation is kept up to date
* Interactwith customers and vendors in a professional and collaborative manner
* Ensuring first rate customer service and promoting service excellence
* Ensuring processes are always followed
* Ensuring that customers incident, change and requests tickets arecompleted professionally and managed in a consistent manner
* Previous experience in a similar Wintel technical support roleis an advantage
* Experience of working in an enterprise-level commercial environment

Technical Requirements

The following technical competencies are desirable but not essential:

* Microsoft Windows Server (2008, 2012, 2016 & 2019)
* CoreWindows infrastructure components (DHCP, Windows failover clustering, etc.)
* Active Directory experience: Group Policy Objects (GPO), Forests, Domains, Domain Controller Roles, DNS, Permission Models, Delegation, Trust relationships, LDAP and Kerberos* Current Driving licence
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; good team player; highly motivated; flexible Must be self-starter and able to work proactively and under pressure with a can-do attitude

 Strong desireto continually improve customer service

 Decision making with an analytical mind-set

 Excellent time management, prioritisation, balancing multiple tasks and self-motivation skills

 Genuine enthusiasm for working with technology

 Updates job knowledge by researching new technologies and products
