We are looking for a Sales manager to join our client who are based in Southwest London. Our client is an award winning and leading UK Tour Operator with 3 brands which sell directly to the public as well as the trade, selling through travel agents throughout the UK.
THE JOB:
As the Sales Manager, you oversee looking after their Travel Specialists and Team Leaders for each brand. You will be responsible for ensuring their overall success, in both sales and service levels. The role is a varied one as although each brand shares a common way of working, at the same time each brand does need to be individually recognisedto ensure success.
We are looking for someone who leads from the front in everything they do, and you will need to demonstrate drive, determination, leadership qualities, first class customer service, quick learning, and ambition.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Manage the sales team, concierge service and all sales activities within the company
* Achieve growth and hit sales targets, by successfully motivating and managing the sales team
* Performance management of the sales team including setting ofobjectives, coaching and training
* Oversee and support the sales team in their administrative duties
* Set an example anddrive quality, consistency, and accuracy in all aspects of the sales process
* Report to the board and management on sales figures and KPI's
* Design and implement sales strategies, to actively develop the sales team
* Identify new areas, trends andchanges in the market including being fully aware of competition status
* Liaise with the Directors along with the Marketing,Product and Admin departments at regular meetings
* Deal with customer service issues, including complaint handling
* Actively troubleshoot problems as they arise, and ensuring they do not re-occur
* Lead in the recruitment of new members of the sales team
* Rostering of the sales teams, including holiday, sickness & fam trip requirements
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:* Experience in a previous sales manager role, with a minimum of 3 years' experience
* Experience of setting sales goals, leading and managing a sales team.
* Proven track record of exceeding company sales targets and KPI's
* Experience in coaching& training, tied to performance management
* Experience in the sales of tailormade or luxury holidays
* Excellent salesand customer service skills
* A good understanding of the tailormade holidays sales process
* Extensive experience of long-haul travel, ideally including at least 1 country in Latin America
* Commercially minded individual, with a drive to help the business grow
* A team player with an ability to lead from the front and help drive the team to success
* A helpful attitudeto assisting all members of the sales team and management
* A strong understanding of the products that we offer
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Proactivity and a great level of problem-solving ability
* Flexibility and adaptability
THE PACKAGE:
* Offering a salary up to £55,000 DOE, plus bonus package
* Hybrid working role, 2 days in the office (Thursday & Tuesday) and 3 days from home
