Do you have experience as a Branch Manager or Assistant Manager within the Travel Industry? An excellent opportunity has arisen to join an independent travel agency based in Bishops Stortford who require a confident and motivated leader toexpand the agency and develop the business. My client is seeking an experienced, sales focused, target driven retail travel professional who is a strong and inspiring leader with previous travel retail sales management experience. You should also have previous experience in booking holidays face to face or on the telephone with a passion for travel. If you have previous experienceas a successful travel store manager, outstanding customer service skills, experienced in people management, with a focus on meeting targets, driving sales and KPI's and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment I would love to hear from you!
JOB DESCRIPTION:
* Undertake management duties effectively within the branch i.e. organise, supervise and allocate work to the team
* Be the initial point of contact for the Team members and attempt to resolve any performance, conduct, presentation issues within your capabilities as soon as possible
* Manage a small team of travel consultants
* Book all aspects of a holiday face to face or on the phone
* Promote the business to new markets and attend trade events
* Organise daily workloads anddelegate work to appropriate personnel
* Monitor Team/ individual performance throughout the day to ensure maximum productivity, enthusiasm and motivation
* Monitor timekeeping and attendance of Team members and adhere to daily rest breaks
* Mentor and train where necessary members of the team and new staff on work tasks
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* Must have experienceworking within retail as a supervisor, assistant manager or branch manager
* Proven sales experience in travel and managed ateam
* Excellent understanding of the travel industry
* Self-motivated and good ability to multitask
* Effective questioning & listening.
* The ability to work under pressure.
PACKAGE:
The successful candidate can expect a very competitive basic salary with on-target earnings of £26,500 to £33,500 + incentives and bonus schemes
HOURS:
Working on a 5-day rotabetween Monday - Saturday: 9am - 5:30pm (Closed Sunday's and Bank Holidays)
