Overview:
Customized medical education technology
Established in 2012 in India, the MOKSH group's primary objective was to address the global shortage of healthcare professionals. By 2018, it had emerged as a dominant player in healthcare student mobility within the B2C segment, facilitating the placement of over 1000 students annually in medical programs across six countries.
Over time, this student mobility segment has evolved into a pivotal network supporting various group endeavors worldwide. Recognizing the industry's needs, MOKSH responded by establishing a new Academy in 2018.
The challenge within the industry
It became evident that merely facilitating students to become doctors was insufficient, as each student needed to successfully clear licensing exams such as FMGE or USMLE before being able to practice clinical skills. The pass rate for students in licensing exams, such as FMGE, was a mere 14.22%, highlighting a pressing need for a solution to support students.
In 2019, the Indian parliament enacted legislation mandating a licensing exam for all doctors, including those trained domestically and abroad, known as the National Exit Test (NEXT). This exam would be compulsory for graduates from June 2023 onwards. This development prompted medical students to realize that obtaining an MBBS degree did not automatically grant them a license to practice in India, necessitating preparation for the exit exam.
This scenario led to the establishment of MOKSH Academy, which has since become the preferred test preparation solution among medical students nationwide for various entry and exit exams.
