Manipal University College Malaysia
Established in 1997, Manipal University College Malaysia (MUCM) stands as a distinguished private medical institution within the Manipal Group. It forms part of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), offering over 350 undergraduate and postgraduate courses across 31 disciplines, including animation, engineering, pharmacy, nursing, management, and humanities. With 25 years of excellence in medical education, MUCM's Melaka Campus provides access to more than 1000 patient-bed facilities.
The MBBS program at MUCM spans 10 semesters, covering pre-clinical subjects in the first four semesters and clinical subjects from the sixth semester onward. Bedside teaching at partner hospitals forms a significant part of students' clinical exposure.
MUCM's global ranking stands at 5879th, with a respectable 47th position in Malaysia. However, completing an MBBS degree in Malaysia presents a drawback as there is no provision for internships, contrary to the NMC guidelines requiring six years of training inclusive of internship.
Teaching Faculty
MUCM's teaching faculty is committed to delivering high-quality education through interactive teaching methods, including group discussions, tutorials, and class activities.
Studying at Manipal University College Malaysia
As a private medical university in Malaysia, MUCM offers the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) program, introduced as recently as 2020.
