The MRCP Part 1 evaluates a broad spectrum of medical knowledge, competencies, and professional conduct as outlined in the UK Specialty Training Curriculum for Core Medical Training/Internal Medicine Training. Serving as the initial phase in a series of assessments tailored to align with the progression of trainees enrolled in the UK's Core Medical Training/Internal Medical Training program, MRCP UK Part One introduces unique content and enhances the overall learning trajectory.

Eligibility for MRCP UK Part 1:
Physicians with a minimum of 12 months of postgraduate experience in medical practice are eligible to undertake the MRCPUK Part 1 exam.

MRCP UK Part 1 Exam Dates 2024:
Applications for MRCP Part 1 must be submitted within the specified opening and closing dates. UK-based candidates have the option to undertake online exams from their homes, while international students are required to appear for centre-based exams starting from the 2023/4 exam diet.

MRCP UK Exam Centres in India:
The MRCP Part 1 online exam is conducted at six centres in India, the highest among all countries, including Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kerala, Mumbai, and New Delhi.

MRCP Part 1 Test Fee:
The MRCP Part 1 fee for international students is £616, while for UK students, it is £460. For Indian students, the approximate cost of MRCP is INR 65,000.

MRCP Part 1 Exam Format:
- One-day exam
- Two Papers, each lasting three hours
- 100 multiple-choice, best-of-five questions per Paper
- Marking system awards +1 mark for correct answers, with no negative marking for incorrect responses
- No image-based questions are included in the MRCP Part 1 Exam
- Conducted either at a test centre internationally or online via a proctoring service in the UK.
